Gli Eris Pluvia sono stati una formazione che ha segnato in modo indelebile il ritorno del prog Italiano degli anni novanta con il magnifico “Rings of Earthly Light” del 1991, comunemente ritenuto come uno dei migliori lavori di quel periodo e che ha profondamente influenzato la scena italiana successiva.

A quasi vent’anni da quel disco la formazione ligure ritorna a sorpresa sulle scene con il nuovo concept album “Third Eye Light”, che riprende il discorso prematuramente interrotto con il disco precedente. Quello degli Eris Pluvia è un maestoso rock progressivo classico, sinfonico, con influenze che spaziano da gruppi come Camel e Pink Floyd, passando per il meglio del neo-prog internazionale senza dimenticare il prog italiano classico degli anni settanta.

Eris Pluvia have indelibly marked the return of Italian prog nineties with the magnificent “Rings of Earthly Light” of 1991, commonly considered as one of the best works of that period that deeply influenced the Italian scene of the following years.

Nearly twenty years from that record, the band from Liguria celebrate their comeback with the new concept album “Third Eye Light”, that continues the themes of the previous album. Eris Pluvia play a majestic classic progressive rock, symphonic yet pastoral with influences ranging from bands like Camel and Pink Floyd, through the best international neo-prog and the classic Italian prog of the seventies.

A marvelous comeback.

When you like your prog to be more beautiful and/or accessible than prog-proggy, than this is for you! Melodic as hell and yes, Peter Falconer is quite a singer! That wouldn't go half the way without the solid songs of Pat Sanders. A great combination of skills ;-) Carsten Pieper
